theanimalblog: Baby hummingbird from the aviary run in the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. The guide said that she was only two months old! | (Submission) this has to be one of the tiniest babies ever. according to josh, hummingbird parents make their nests out of spider webs and lichen from trees. this way, the nest is tight and strong for the eggs and it is able to expand to support the weight of the growing baby after it hatches.
